Ballybunion beach stretches for over 5km’s

This popular seaside town has 3 Beaches set among stunning scenery with historical ruins in the background. The main beach stretches from Cashen to the Castle, some 5km long and 100 meters wide. Ballybunion’s other two beaches, otherwise known as Ladies Beach & Nun’s Strand are nestled beneath the cliffs of Doneen.
All three of these areas are popular with surfers, canoeing and swimming. In the summer months Life Guards are present to keep an eye on everyone enjoying themselves.
